I could relate to Ivy , especially the stories. My mother was born near the turn of the century in Silva . NC on Caney Fork. I grew up listening to my uncles and mother's stories. Some sounded very much like Ivy's stories from the Cline sisters. I once visted my uncles at Caney Fork and we had to walk, it seemed for miles up the mountain trail from the car, just as everyone visting Ivy had to do.
